SUMMARY:Monthly Studio Talk
DESCRIPTION:DETAILS\n\n\n\nTOPIC:\n\n\n\nWhere to From Here? Exploring Ashtanga Yoga’s Future and Potential \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBack in the early 90’s when our original Yoga Workshop studio was a few years old\, we started offering Studio Talks on Sunday evenings after the packed Mysore class. We never knew for sure whether there would be a talk\, though usually as we rolled up our mats and wiped sweat from the floor you’d hear Richard’s voice quietly saying\, “In fifteen minutes\, there will be a talk…if anyone is here.” They grew from 10-20 in attendance to close to 100 at times as word spread that the talks were interesting\, often funny and always free. And best of all\, you didn’t have to practice yoga to join in. \n\n\n\nWhen the pandemic hit in 2020 we started offering Studio Talks live online and these too have grown into a monthly online gathering of sangha members from around the world. We cover foundational yoga teachings and paradoxes in context of modern life and for those who join live\, we always stick around for questions.
