10-day Retreat

Join us for this experiential immersion in yoga āsana, prāṇāyāma and chanting with philosophy tossed in as the logical linking-form for these ancient practices. Focusing on the vibratory and healing nature of chanting as it relates to silence, and movement as an extension of stillness we will explore the natural intelligence of prāṇāyāma —wave patterns of breath, sensation and intelligence that are the foundation and fabric of living with a sense of appreciation and kindness—so we may communicating openly and honestly with ourselves and with others.
Mornings will begin in the welcoming calm of nature with the sound of birds and the ocean as a backdrop, beginning with meditation, prāṇāyāma and an intelligent āsana practice composed of postures flowing together on the wave of the breath. In the afternoons we will explore the role of musical svara (timeless melody) as it merges with the svara of breath (flow) to open doorways into the direct experience of joy, equanimity and a clear sense of being. The practices and teachings will bring to light traditional Vedic and Buddhist understanding of interconnectedness and compassion that free body, heart and mind.
